Maison Margiela’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection looks to the House’s founding years, reworking vintage garments, Edwardian references, and discarded textiles through deconstruction. Tailcoats lose their tails, leather, tweed, and velvet fuse together, and the men’s Float shoe appears suspended mid-air above a tiny sole. Every look is finished with an Artisanal mask. Presented in Shanghai for the House’s first show in China, it’s built on the idea that nothing is ever truly discarded, only made new.

Dressing up doesn’t mean what it used to. Over the last few decades, dress codes have relaxed in virtually every area of life, from the office to the first-class cabin, leading many to gripe that the collapse of the men’s formal wardrobe reflects the collapse of civilized society. Whether or not this is the case, just because you can substitute a polo for a button-down doesn’t mean you have to. The same goes for your watch. While it’s now totally normal to wear a dive watch (or a smart watch, for that matter) with a suit, there remains an entire universe of dressier options that, in our opinion, will look even better. There is a certain art to slowing down, and in Provence it comes naturally. The Glenlivet 12-Year-Old Provence Edition brings Scottish whisky heritage together with the French art de vivre, finished in French white wine, Rivesaltes, and Sauternes casks, including casks from Château Sainte Marguerite, a first for the distillery. Bright citrus leads into white peach, floral notes, vanilla, and honey, for a single malt that feels both fresh and rounded. A limited-edition whisky designed not only to be tasted, but to be experienced.
