Art. Lebedev’s sleek ceramic knives for a sophisticated kitchen

In a market full of impressive multi-functional culinary inventions popping up in kitchens these days, it’s easy to forget how impressive simplicity can be. Art. Lebedev’s Keramikus knives, which come as a set of three (titled Vegetus, Usubus and Shefus), rely on a simple design for their wow-factor. Each knife is fabricated from a single piece of black ceramic, with gorgeously-carved faceted handles. Since black ceramic knives spend more time in the furnace than white ceramic knives do, they’re stronger and will maintain a razor-sharp blade longer. The added bonus of ceramic kitchen tools is that they won’t oxidize or rust, and the smooth design of these beauties mean there are no crevices for bacteria to hide, so on top of being sophisticated, they’re safe. Total winners in our books.
