Markus Krauss’ geometric rocking chair, aptly titled “Sway,” has just won the year’s Interior Innovation Award, and we’re not surprised—innovative it is. This thing is nothing like the clunky version from your childhood. Sway is a visually light adaptation of an old favourite with a minimalistic, geometric shape and powder-coated steel frame with telescope-style legs that pull out and adjust, so depending on your mood Sway can be an armchair, a sofa, a chaise… whatever you’re in the mood for, really. There is no “correct” way to sit on this rocker. And you don’t have to sit alone, either: the chair was designed with one or two occupants in mind, so grab someone cuddly, the latest copy of Sharp, and settle in.
