Wings + Horns Just Designed the Year’s Dopest New Balance Sneakers
What happens when you toss Canada’s coolest menswear label in a blender with a stalwart American sneaker company? You get two of the illest damn sneakers we’ve seen in a minute. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Vancouver’s own Wings + Horns linked up with New Balance to produce two special versions of the classic 580 silhouette — which, coincidentally, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Dubbed the “Deconstructed” pack, the kicks feature a stark, stripped-down aesthetic: the black joints are decked out in a smooth, matte leather, while their sand counterparts come laced with a beautiful textured roughout exterior. Both pairs have been engineered using a modern three-piece construction from laser-cut leather, and boast a neoprene mesh sock liner and REVlite sole for added comfort.
You can get your hands on a pair at Wings + Horns’ Vancouver retail showroom (133 West 5th Avenue) starting May 21st, or at select global stockists on May 28th.
