This Eco-Friendly, Egg-Shaped Pod Just Made Camping Fun Again
Camping just got a major upgrade.
Before you even think about spending another weekend sweating it out in an uncomfortable tent wondering if tonight will be the night a bear finally eats you, consider the Ecocapsule. The 1-2 person pod is the absolute best way to enjoy nature without actually having to, you know, sleep in nature.
The Ecocapsule can set up shop in the most beautiful scenery (think mountains, beaches or the countryside) without needing to be plugged into a traditional power and water supply. Using both the sun and the wind, it generates its own energy for comfortable living. Or, in the event that you do charge it before heading out, the battery lasts up to four days.
We know, the outside makes it look like something from The Fifth Element, but the interior of the Ecocapsule is as comfy as they come. “They” being futuristic egg pods, of course.
Inside, the pod’s furniture is made from lightweight honeycomb panels with a wood veneer finish. Included is a desk, cabinets, racks, a folding bed with mattress, kitchenette cabinets and a baggage cabinet. Not too shabby. And don’t worry, there’s a bathroom too.
In the end, the Ecocapsule lets you get back to nature without a loud, obnoxious generator or the threat of a bumpy night’s sleep. Just don’t park next to a cliff.
