This Steel-and-Marble Credenza Was Inspired By Prague’s Subway System

Czech duo Jan Plechac and Henry Wielgus extend the design world’s latest fascination with all things groovy into edgier territory, employing rainbow-hued galvanized steel that looks more like a slick oil pool than a tie-dyed band t-shirt.

Topped with your choice of white Pele de Tigre or black Marquina marble, their sideboard for French furniture manufacturer La Chance features raised circles on each door that mimic the tiles used in Prague’s metro system.

Simply push on these “bumps” to open the cabinet and access your collection of whisky (or as we prefer to think of it, fuel).
