Raf Simons Is Joining Prada As Co-Creative Director

Raf Simons is moving to Milan to join Prada as co-creative director, marking the first time the Italian house has hired an outside talent to share the top job. Since leaving Calvin Klein in late 2018, the fashion rumour mill buzzed with murmurs that Raf would join his friend Miuccia Prada at the storied Italian house that bears her name, but in what capacity nobody was sure. Now, we know: the Belgian fashion god famous for his warped take on youth culture will share equal input and creative oversight with Ms. Prada, starting in April.

Don’t expect a one-off hype collab. This is a longterm partnership that could reshape the fashion industry – and your wardrobe – for years to come. For more than 20 years, Raf’s clothes, from oversized collegiate sweaters to satin overcoats, have spawned a million copies.
