BOSS has tapped professional baseball’s most promising young player as its new brand ambassador. Shohei “Sho Time” Ohtani is making his mark as a two-way player, both pitching and hitting, for the Los Angeles Angels, and was the first-ever player with 10 pitching appearances, 20 home runs and 10 stolen bases in a single season, earning him the honour of being the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year. But of all Ohtani accomplishments professional baseball, one is history-making: He is the first player to beat Babe Ruth’s record from 1919 of pitching 15 home runs with 50 innings in a season.
“I’ve been wearing BOSS and have been a fan of the brand for years, and have always admired its smart designs, simplicity and functionality,” says Ohtani. “As a professional baseball player, I constantly travel all year round. With BOSS I will now feel more confident and comfortable when traveling.” There you have it: A boss for BOSS.
