Delight Your Inner Shutterbug with Zegna and Leica’s New Collection of Luxe Leather Camera Accessories
The father of street photography, Henri Cartier-Bresson, coined the term “the decisive moment” to refer to the split second when all the makings of a great photograph, from light to composition to expression, finally align. Lest a great photograph go uncaptured, street photographers often carry their cameras around at all times, hanging from utilitarian neck-straps or tucked inside bulky camera bags. But Leica owners can now upgrade their camera gear thanks to a new collaboration collection from the legendary German camera-maker and Italian luxury label Zegna.
First debuted in January 2020 on the Ermenegildo Zegna XXX Winter 2020 runway, the collection replaces standard camera gear materials, like cordura, with Pelletessuta: an exclusive fabric built of finely woven strips of nappa leather that’s also been used in Maserati interiors. The material is used across the collaboration, which includes camera holsters and carrying straps. The standout item though is an on-trend cross-body bag embossed with the Zegna logo. It’s practical– you can carry a camera, phone and wallet – but it’s also good looking enough that it won’t look out of place on The Sartorialist, where luxury sling bags and side packs have become staples on street-style stars in recent years.
Now that Leica and Zegna have made camera accessories runway-worthy, there’s no excuse to leave your camera at home.
The Zegna and Leica collaboration collection is available in exclusive Zegna flagships, in 60 select Leica stores, and online at zegna.com and leica-camera.com
