IWC’s Latest ‘Le Petit Prince’ Pilot’s Watch Comes With a Twist – Literally

The iconic Swiss manufacturer (whose stunning headquarters we recently got a peek into) is presenting a limited special edition of one of its flagship creations, the Timezoner. In keeping with the brand’s tradition since 2013, this edition receives the ‘Le Petit Prince’ livery with a navy blue dial and matching ceramic bezel ring. As with previous models in this series, the Pilots Watch Timezoner Edition Le Petit Princeis inspired by the book written by French aviation pioneer Antoine de Saint-Exupèry.

The Timezoner was already a special piece, thanks to a unique world time complication that allows the wearer to change between time zones seamlessly, without stopping the movement. City names are displayed around the blue ceramic bezel and all you have to do is press down, turn it to your desired destination (or current location) and release.

Inside the case, IWC uses components made from wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic to give the watch exceptionally accuracy and a power reserve of up to 60 hours. With a brown calfskin strap, à la the original model, and a sapphire case back, this watch is available in a limited run of just 1500 pieces. $18,200.
