You could be forgiven for forgetting that one of menswear’s biggest red carpet moments of the year happened this week — after all, with no disrespect to the Emmys, they take place on a Monday! They also fall in the midst of film festival season, with red carpet and press tour moments from Venice, Toronto, and Telluride keeping all of our social media feeds chock-full of killer fits and photos for our inspiration boards. Still, the Emmys aren’t to be overlooked. They’re in a unique place these days, one where you’re as likely to see A-list movie stars like Harrison Ford alongside icons of television like Noah Wyle. With it being the biggest night for some of the medium’s biggest stars, their stylists ball out and get their clients as red carpet ready as anyone on the Oscars red carpet. This year, however, while the suits were great, our eyes fell on the wrists of some of television’s finest.

It’s hardly news that red carpets have become the timepiece olympics, with stars strapping some of the most covetable watches in the world on for the moment when the cameras turn to them. It’s no longer enough to simply put on a Rolex Submariner — today’s red carpet stars aim for watches that draw more attention than even their tuxes. In 2026, they pulled it off in a big way — while there were a number of spectacular suits and tuxes on the red carpet, we came away most impressed by a few of the best watches on the Emmys red carpet.
The reigning king of television, Jon Hamm, kept his look classic in a navy tux, but it was his Panerai that really stole the show. Hamm showed up for the awards in a gold Panerai Radiomir with a brown alligator strap. It’s a positively regal piece, fit for a guy who’s been racking up Emmy nominations and wins for the better part of twenty years at this point. If Hamm’s the king of television, Colman Domingo remains the king of red carpets, often stealing the show in wild bespoke looks from some of the hottest designers in the game. Domingo has long been associated with Omega, and he appropriately took the red carpet in a spectacular 38mm Omega Speedmaster with a diamond-paved bezel.
Omega also featured in one of the most memorable moments of the night, that being the legendary Michael J. Fox’s receiving of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his work in raising awareness and funding for research to cure Parkinson’s disease. Fox wore an Omega Constellation Observatory with a beautiful black leather strap to match the dial, a classy finishing touch on a spectacular Emmy moment.
HBO’s The Pitt remained a big winner for the network, taking home Best Drama, but, if you ask us, the real trophy went to Patrick Ball, who paired a lush black and grey velvet tuxedo with a beautiful Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in steel with a blue dial. Not to be outdone, Oscar Isaac — who proved that the cummerbund isn’t dead in his white tux — strapped on an absolute barnburner in the form of an AP Code 11.59. The skeleton face pairs black ceramic with pink gold, the sort of combo you aren’t going to find on the wrist of every dude nominated for an Emmy. Is it loud? Sure. Can Oscar Isaac of all people pull that off? Absolutely.

And it certainly wouldn’t be a red carpet without a little Cartier, the de facto watch of any occasion requiring a tuxedo. The house was spotted on the wrist of Noah Wyle, who attended the ceremony in stunning light-brown custom Brunello Cucinelli. Cartier colour-coordinated with the suit, with Wyle wearing a trendy Tank à Guichets wristwatch in rose gold with a supple brown leather strap. It was a look befitting the man of the hour.
Call us crazy, but we’ve seen so many tuxedos on red carpets that at this point it’s all about the details. Give us a brooch, an earring, a great pair of sunglasses, or a spectacular luxury wristwatch. That’s what really makes an all-time red carpet moment at the Emmys — and in 2026, that red carpet delivered big time.
