Psycho Bunny’s First Store in Canada Is Now Open

SHARP & Psycho Bunny

Good things come to those who wait, and 17 years after getting off the ground in New York, Psycho Bunny has opened the doors to its first Canadian retail store in Toronto’s Eaton Centre. Though we had a good picture of what to expect after our interview with the brand’s Vice President of brand and marketing, we’re even more impressed to see the finished space in the flesh.

The edgy menswear brand has slowly and steadily been increasing the variety of its offering. While its thoughtfully crafted polos will always be a mainstay, pants, shorts, and swim trunks have also been finding their way into the Psycho Bunny offering as of late. In the new store you’ll find the entirety of the brand’s current collection in a bright and welcoming space. Given the bold colour palette the brand gravitates toward, it’s a bit of a surprise to see how subtle the millwork, fixtures, and flooring of the store are. That said, the choice made a fair bit of sense, as it lets the brightness of the clothing do the talking.

To be fair, the store isn’t all that subtle. A bright neon interpretation of the brand’s skull and crossbones bunny logo — easily more than four feet tall — greets guests as they approach the freshly opened space. At the back of the room, a massive high definition screen displays branded video content throughout its opening hours.

For those unable to make their way down to the Eaton Centre, worry not; an additional store is headed to Yorkdale Shopping Centre later on in the year, and there’s talk of expansion into Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver a little further on down the line. If that doesn’t make the cut, Psycho Bunny’s Canadian e-commerce site is live and ready to take online orders as well.
