Watch the Nissan NISMO Z Drift in New Teaser
As Nissan’s sleek sports car cruises towards its sixth decade of racing, the brand launched a preview of its latest incarnation: the Nissan NISMO Z. At just under 45 seconds, the video is tight-lipped when it comes to the car’s specifics. A closer look, however, reveals a few key features that just couldn’t hide. A daring red line wraps around the car’s exterior, while new, chiseled front and rear bumpers make an impression.
After driving the 2023 Nissan Z, it’s clear that the latest release has inherited some classic traits. Up front, the car’s long hood and lowered headlights are a dead giveaway that the NISMO Z comes from the Nissan family. In back, the NISMO Z’s short trunk gives an angular edge while its rear lights are reminiscent of the fourth generation 300ZX. With few engine details — save for a half-second glance under the hood to flex its V6 Twin Turbo — it’s hard to speculate on the car’s drive. If champion Chris Forsberg’s drifts are any indication, though, the Nissan NISMO Z will be one sweet ride.
