Fresh off the heels of Paris Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton launched two new collections — the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar — offering seasonal iterations of classic Louis Vuitton bags along with new editions. In the fashion of their recent runway collections, the latest Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar lines embrace colour: the likes of electric racing blue and urbane mineral grey take centre stage. The former makes a summery splash while the latter puts a forward-thinking twist on the brand’s characteristically sophisticated palette. Meanwhile, hardware takes form in shiny silver metal and matte black variations.
In the Monogram Macassar collection, a sunny, egg-yolk-yellow leather contrasts the dark earthy tone of signature Monogram canvases. The yellow leather refreshes Louis Vuitton’s classic look with an eye-catching flash, making a perfect companion to neutral button-downs, deep brown suit jackets, and denim looks. Available styles include the Christopher backpack, Keepall, and S-lock messenger bag.
If you’re planning a vacation, Louis Vuitton’s Taurillon Monogram collection has you covered. Essential Dopp Kits for overnights and toiletry packing practically glow in their vibrant blue shades, elegantly highlighting your travel collection. The Horizon rolling luggage also suits up in electric blue, shaking up the brand’s always-in-vogue line.
Rounding out the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar lines, Louis Vuitton announced a new design, the Soft Polochon. The bag’s cylinder silhouette is as functional and roomy as it is stylish, boasting two removable straps. The shoulder strap is woven while the handle is fashioned from yellow leather.
Those who shop for matching sets can rest easy: the two new collections also offer their designs on smaller leather goods including pocket organizers and wallets (this is the Louis Vuitton we’re talking about, after all). For a closer look, take a scroll through the gallery below.
To debut the Taurillon Monogram and Monogram Macassar collections, Louis Vuitton photographed a set flush with florals and spring-summer style. Make no mistake, though: these bags aren’t a brief summer fling. Timeless designs ensure that the new collections will be a perennial preference for the style-conscious.
The collections will be available online and in-store in July 2023.
