A Formula One Grand Prix trophy is an exquisite thing — each one as unique as it is coveted. Just look at the Dutch prize, a ceramic cup hand-painted with blue florals by the master artisans of Royal Delft. Or the Mexican trophy, with great wings of sterling silver to symbolise the national eagle, atop a volcanic glass base. Even Canada’s current design — a ribbon of unfurling metal scored with the hatchings of the chequered flag. Each is distinctive and captures the character of its nation.
It tracks, then, that such trophies would demand equally well-crafted cases. And, thanks to Louis Vuitton, they have them. During the 2026 season, the French Maison will accompany the Championship to every Grand Prix trophy ceremony, supplying transportation trunks designed to protect and showcase these inimitable awards.

Each trunk is handcrafted by Louis Vuitton’s master artisans in Asnières, just outside Paris, with a monogram-covered canvas exterior, leather-trimmed reinforcements, and brass hardware at its corners and clasps. A signature “V” for “Victory” is formed on the canvas — with black-and-white detailing that nods to the chequered flag — and the whole piece is secured, as it should be, with a sturdy lock.
Of course, this isn’t the first time the Maison has kept iconic trophies safe. The tradition began with the America’s Cup in 1983, and Louis Vuitton has since built trunks for the Davis Cup, FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cup, Olympic medals, and the Ballon d’Or. Thankfully, this is only the second year of a decade-long deal — so Louis Vuitton will be keeping Forumla One’s trophies safe for years to come.
