There’s a new address in Yorkville worth knowing, and it isn’t a showroom. Tucked inside Holt Renfrew’s Bloor Street flagship is Mercedes-Benz Studio Toronto. Alongside some eye-catching cars, the Studio offers a space where automotive design, fashion, and craftsmanship collide.
To celebrate the launch, Contempo Media Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Michael La Fave hosted an unforgettable evening on Thursday, July 16th. The inaugural chapter takes its cues from Mercedes-AMG and sports culture, anchored by a fashion residency from Canadian label Reigning Champ. Known for its performance-driven ethos, Reigning Champ makes a perfect partner for Mercedes-Benz. Both brands refuse to cut corners; they trade in exacting, disciplined design. Throughout the evening event, VIPs previewed the Reigning Champ residency over cocktails and enjoyed an exclusive walkthrough of the MANUFAKTUR Atelier. Guests included top entrepreneurs, creatives, and content creators like Sasha Exeter.

Beyond the residency, the MANUFAKTUR Atelier offers a closer look at Mercedes-Benz’s personalization and craftsmanship program. Anyone who walks through Holt Renfrew’s doors can see bespoke detailing and the almost infinite exterior and interior customization combinations up close.
The Studio celebrates how Canadians can experience Mercedes-Benz. Over 140 years, the brand’s influence has grown well beyond the road. Here, that evolution is on full display: the Studio balances the precision of automotive engineering with the sensibility of a design gallery. It’s a concept built for an immersive experience.
Perhaps the Studio’s best quality, however, is its restless creativity. This first creative concept is just the beginning; the space is set to evolve with two more seasonal refreshes throughout 2026.
