Actor, director, musician — is there anything Finn Wolfhard won’t do? After the rousing success of his first album titled Happy Birthday, which has reached north of 56 million streams since its release last June, Wolfhard’s sophomore album has just been announced alongside the release of its first single, “I’ll Let You Finish”. If this first track is any indication (we’ve gotten a tease of the album, trust us, it is), this next album will swiftly install itself as your new favourite summer jam. Listen for yourself…

The indie rocker vibes are hard to ignore. And, though the official release tips a hat to iconic albums from The Rolling Stones, there are plenty of other influences to listen for, all without lacking individuality. From the bluesy guitar tone and backing singers to the “live band recording” feel of it all, Wolfhard taps into the raw, analog sound that’s been making a much-welcomed resurgence of late.

It’s also worth noting the timelessness of Wolfhard’s writing on his new single. During the song’s chorus, lines like “You’ve got the money, honey, I’ve got the time” fit as well now as they would in tracks by the Stones, The Beatles, or even The Doors. As he moves onto the verses, things shift to thoughts on friendship and being alone — commentary that, in present-day context, feels like reflection on the post-pandemic world, but could just as well be reflective introspection from another era. One way or another, it feels like a hit.

Finn Wolfhard’s full-length album “Fire From The Hip” will be released July 10th, 2026.
