Home of the Week: Toy House, Brazil

It’s always the impossibly cool movie dads who build their kids a state-of-the-art playhouse (Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming Daddy’s Home, anyone?). But here’s how to one-up them: build your carpet rats an epic toy house they won’t ever outgrow.

Take it from this brilliant family in São Paulo who brought in the creative minds of Pascali Semerdjian Architects to design a fun and functional space for all ages. Its discrete entrance offers safety for your children and their friends — especially useful when you’re hosting massive parties and family events. And by keeping the interior aesthetics clean and minimalist, it’s a snap to modify all the toys, tech and furniture as the children age: the space develops and changes as they do.

The house’s flexibility and functionality is further enhanced by features like sliding glass partitions and remote-controlled adjustable shutters. Frankly, we think you’ll be in the house more than your little nuggets — did you see that rope bridge? Pretty damn cool.
