Watch the Emotional Trailer for HBO’s Documentary on Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds
For those of us who are already feeling the sting of a world without the acerbic wit of Carrie Fisher and the undeniable charm of Debbie Reynolds, HBO will air a documentary about the late mother and daughter this weekend. It promises to be an emotional rollercoaster.
This tribute to two powerhouse Hollywood women arrives just weeks after the untimely death of Fisher on December 27th, followed by Reynolds’ own passing just one day later.
Shot in 2014 and 2015, the doc follows Fisher as she prepares to shoot Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Reynolds in the lead-up to her SAG Lifetime Achievement award. The two lived next door to each other (AKA our Grey Gardens fantasy casting) and provided one another with unconditional support through aging, illness, and ancient cell phones.
