Your Morning Commute Will Be Considerably More Pleasant in Harley-Davidson’s Sportster Iron 1200
Last year, Harley-Davidson made an ambitious promise: to launch 100 new high-impact motorcycles by 2027. Fittingly, they’ve begun with an update of the Sportster, among the most iconic of highway-ripping hogs.
Harley’s reinvented the model with an Evolution 1200 V-Twin engine and sportier build for the mid-range torque and compact ergonomics necessary to muscle through downtown traffic. It doesn’t scale back on attitude, through: see the very ’70s-West-Coast peanut-tank graphics, murdered-out motor and chassis, and Mini Ape handlebars that are swept back enough to make you ride like you don’t give a damn about the world. (Though perhaps you should — it’s about to have a lot more Harleys in it.)
