Sitting somewhere between a cyclocross and a road bicycle, these bikes are fast enough for asphalt — whether that’s commuting or group rides — but can fit wider tires for off-road use. It’s a no-compromise, all-season bike that you could comfortably ride in Alberta or Antarctica. Every manufacturer worth their weight in chamois (including Giant, maker of all of the models below) now creates adventure bikes. There’s a reason for that.
