Sharp: The Book For Men Spring/Summer 2019 Launch Event

As you will learn in Sharp: The Book For Men Spring/Summer 2019, Sam Rockwell, our cover star, may well be the hardest-working man in show business. That unflagging dedication to one’s craft is something we should all aspire to have. Still, we’re not about to go ahead and champion 18-hour-days and #hustle culture at the expense of work-life balance. As the credo goes: work hard, play hard. With that in mind, on Thursday night we gathered over 600 esteemed guests at The Symes in Toronto to celebrate the result of months of our tireless labour: the latest edition of Canada’s essential reference for the modern man.

Upon entry into the restored art deco heritage building, attendees were given an exclusive look at the Acura 2020 TLX PMC Edition — the first in extremely limited run of Acura models that will be handcrafted alongside the automaker’s NSX supercar (which also happened to be on site for eye candy purposes).

Conversations were kept interesting thanks to some ace potations from Glenmorangie, Hennessy, and Estrella Damm. Meanwhile, fades were kept fresh by Crowsnest Barbershop, and attendees stayed smelling great courtesy of Paco Rabanne, who offered spritzes of their woody, aromatic Invictus Legend cologne.

Our excellent sister magazine S/ gave guests a chance to catch up on their latest issue, featuring cover star Maisie Williams, at their Parisienne-style newsstand.

Those looking to elevate their experience — quite literally — had the option of taking an elevator up to the Sharp Elite Lounge — reserved for members of Sharp Elite, a private VVIP list of men and women who are interested in exclusive experiences with our partners.

The bigger the bill, the harder you ball. That’s just how we prefer to roll — and we like to think we’ve gotten pretty good at it.
