The ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Trailer Is a 200-Mph Traumatic Experience
The trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie dropped today and, boy, is it a doozy. Fans of the classic Sega character have waited a long time to see their favourite blue furball on the big screen and now they are getting the chance. Unfortunately, the reaction online has turned sour faster than a spin dash, with many saying that the titular character (voiced by Ben Schwartz) looks creepy. Which maybe is an understatement (WHY ARE HIS TEETH SO HUMAN?).
The majority of the trailer is also soundtracked by Coolio’s “Gansta’s Paradise,” because we guess Paramount couldn’t obtain the rights to, uh, any song about speed?
I'm not sure how comfortable I am with them using a parody of "Amish Paradise" in the Sonic the Hedgehog trailer.

As the world's political and ecological climates teeter on the brink of collapse, the Sonic the Hedgehog trailer is a subtle but powerful reminder that God will not protect us.

I get why everyone is freaking out about how Sonic looks in the trailer. It's because his teeth are not accurate to real hedgehogs.
I fixed it. You're welcome. pic.twitter.com/nUfTE4n5Bt

All I can think of is all the Artists & Designers being super excited to work on a Sonic movie and then slowly having their souls crushed by the executives.
"Sonic should have two eyes."
"Sonic is a Hedgehog, why is he wearing gloves."
"Give him human teeth. I like human teeth."— Dennie Bright (@denniebright) April 30, 2019
after watching that sonic the hedgehog trailer i would like to formally announce that i am no longer a furry

The trailer also features Jim Carrey as Sonic’s enemy Dr. Robotnik, sporting a ridiculous piece of facial hair and looking more like a rejected Devo member.
Sonic the Hedgehog blazes into theatres November 8. Hide your kids, hide your wife.
