Venice is the heart of Los Angeles’s surf and skate culture. The neighbourhood evokes California’s countercultural spirit and sunny beach vibes that us East Coasters only dream of (or see on Instagram). But even if you don’t live in Venice, wearing Garrett Leight sunglasses is close enough. The Venice-based luxury eyewear brand is celebrating 10 years in business by teaming up with Rimowa to create a special-edition collection inspired by the skate culture and psychedelic art scene of the West Coast.

The collaboration includes a custom-branded Rimowa suitcase, six pairs of Garrett Leight sunglasses stored safely in a limited-edition Rimowa x Garrett Leight California Optical Essential Cabin Suitcase in white gloss (to match the suitcase, of course). Inside each suitcase is pair of sunglasses and accessories, including a beach towel, surf wax, sets of luggage stickers and a branded luggage tag – all the necessities to kit you out for a day at the beach. If you really want to channel the Venice vibe, turn the suitcase on its side and you can skate down the boardwalk.
