Porsche and BOSS Team Up for Another Autobahn-Ready Collection
It’s no great revelation to say that Germany is a hot bed of good design. For decades, the nation has instructed the rest of us on how we should decorate our homes, what we should wear and, of course, what cars we should drive. And across industries, from appliances to automobiles, German design has been defined by a few trademarks: functionality and attention to detail, among them. Now, two of the nation’s most treasured names – heritage label BOSS and carmaker Porsche – have again teamed up for a fourth menswear capsule collection inspired by the iconic German car.

Highlights include slim-fitting polos, a striped T-shirt (set against a black background, the stripe cleverly evokes the taillights of a Porsche) and a pair of chunky leather sneakers, whose silhouette nods to the carmaker’s taste for curves. The standout item, though, is a reversible black blouson with a stand collar and flat-knit cuffs. When worn inside out, it transforms into an on-trend puffer jacket in a bright, bold red that’s especially useful as temperatures continue to dip.
As to be expected from a collaboration between two of Germany’s best, the Porsche x BOSS FW20 collection is far from all flash. Instead, its designers have thought through the utility and function of each item. For example, stitched into the left-hand side of each of the collection’s jackets is a key pocket that aligns with Porsche’s left-hand ignitions which, according to legend, is a product of Porsche’s racing history: it allows a driver to start the ignition with one hand, while shifting gears with the other.
You may not be racing to the office any time soon, but this collection calls for a road trip, anyway.
