A Look Inside Range Rover House Whistler

Though unseasonably warm weather may have put a damper on the winter wonderland aesthetic that you’d expect from Whistler in February, the après ski energy of Range Rover House Whistler remained perfectly on point. The invitation-only activation drew in over 1,200 visitors from across North America to the Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa, which was adapted into an event space filled with activations and activities for guests to enjoy.

Of course it wouldn’t be a Range Rover House without the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the brand’s latest vehicles. Full Sized Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Velar, and Evoque were all on offer, and being out in the wild British Columbia wilderness meant guests were treated to a healthy off-road course to properly get a sense of the true capabilities of these vehicles — with proper professional guidance, of course.

Back inside the doors, guests were welcomed to partake in an assortment of activities. On one end of the spectrum, relaxing sound bath sessions were on offer, as was the ability to screen a short film produced by our very own SHARP team that charts the cinematic journey of Range Rover in film. In addition, a series of fireside chats were presented in the house with champion skier and entrepreneur Lindsey Vonn, and leading financial advisor Chris Dewdney.

Should respective guests have found themselves enamoured with their test drive vehicle, the configuration corner offered an inside look at the commissioning possibilities for a new Range Rover of their own. Paint swatches and leather samples abound, guests could swipe their way through various vehicle configurations on the all-new LG StandbyME Go touchscreen units. In the same corner, audiophiles were also in for a treat as Meridian Audio — Range Rover’s go-to premium audio supplier — was demoing a pair of its speakers and providing the house’s daily soundtrack.

Other luxury-centric vignettes were also present throughout Range Rover House Whistler. Harry Rosen curated a selection of luxury apparel and led multiple master-classes on style and fashion trends for Range Rover House guests. Their talks, in the theatre, covered spring styles, trends, fabrics, pairing and styling of carefully selected luxury apparel partners’ upcoming offerings. Olmsted presented a fresh assortment of its premium outerwear, all of which seemed equally well suited to the ski-ready sect as it did to those more interested in the après scene. Jo Malone had its own cozy corner, guiding guests through its fragrance portfolio. Meanwhile, Bulgari brought a wonderfully curated selection of jewelry and watches to Whistler, offering visitors the opportunity to see (and try on) a handful of rather rare pieces.

With the momentary seat time in the rearview, it wouldn’t be après ski without a suitable beverage, and the house had plenty on offer. Stepping through the doors, visitors first notice a small wine cellar and tasting room, with exquisite glasses of Okanagan wines from Checkmate and Mission Hill Family Estate. Should wine not be your go-to after a day on the slopes, samplings from Glenfiddich, Patrón, Grey Goose, and Bombay Sapphire were also scattered throughout the house alongside catering from Whistler’s much-loved Alta Bistro.

There’s much more to Range Rover House than driving, eating, and drinking, of course. Invited guests had the pleasure of witnessing the unveiling of Canada’s first ever Range Rover SV Arete Edition; the ultra exclusive Arete drew plenty of attention just outside the doors of the lodge. As an added perk, guests of the house are the only people able to purchase the sleek new Range Rover, whose design draws inspirations from the mighty Rocky Mountains that surround the House. With only eight examples to be produced, It will easily be one of the rarest Range Rovers to ever enter the country.
