Ever wonder what a commercial for pet adoption would be like if it didn’t use crushing guilt as its hook? If they didn’t only feature tiny dogs with oversized eyes that seem to peer into your very soul? The people who run FurKids Animal Rescue & Shelter sure did, and the results are incredible.
The no-kill, Atlanta-based adoption centre made their own video that is so lame, ridiculous and cheap that it’s totally and effectively perfect.
This hilariously low-budget infomercial includes a human version of inflatable tube man, horrible special effects, the worst dad jokes you’ve ever heard, and (best of all) the poor man’s version of Sarah McLachlan’s “In The Arms of an Angel.” Oh, and adorable, adoptable cats and dogs.
