Bond is Back in the ‘No Time to Die’ Trailer
No matter how busy the holiday season has made your Wednesday, it’s time to make time for the No Time to Die trailer. Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond — and the hero’s 25th appearance on the big screen — hits theatres on April 8.
This time around, Rami Malek’s playing the villain, trading in his fake teeth and wild wardrobe from Bohemian Rhapsody for the Bond franchise’s signature tailoring. (And while we’re on the subject: where do we buy Q’s striped sweater?)
Cool cars (an Aston Martin DB5), exotic locations, and tortured love affairs are also all present and accounted for in this early footage, along with a few twists ready to help bring Bond into a fresh decade. Specifically, Lashana Lynch is here as a new 00 agent who is ready to burn Bond with bad knee jokes penned by Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag and Killing Eve fame. (Another acclaimed television auteur is working behind the lens as director: Cary Fukunaga, the mastermind of True Detective season 1 and Maniac.)
No Time To Die isn’t the only 2020 blockbuster to drop its first trailer this week. On Tuesday, Black Widow, Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick dedicated to the backstory of Scarlett Johansson’s KGB assassin, gave us our first listen to Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz’s Russian accents. (All three sound pretty respectable!)
