Porsche Charging Stations: Destination Luxury

SHARP & Porsche Canada

Electric vehicles might ride in silence, but make no mistake: the Porsche Taycan isn’t hiding from anyone. Porsche Destination Charging Stations have cropped up across Canada, stretching from Atlantic to Pacific to form an expansive network with massive reach. Thanks to Porsche’s countrywide web, road trips know no bounds — drivers zoom from rural farms to coastal golf clubs. We’ll explore six high-end locales, from mountain to valley, all linked through the Porsche Charging network. Whether you fancy a ski trip along the ridges of British Columbia, or take to the Ontario fields for a night of stargazing, we’ll show you how to get there. Oh, and did we mention? Porsche guests charge for free.

Our first stop is out west, on the ridges of British Columbia. Snow-covered hills and towering evergreen trees frame the scene of Panorama Mountain Resort, a premium destination for hiking, skiing, and all-around nature loving. The landscape, shaped by BC’s Purcell Mountains, is also home to Greywolf Golf Club. After a long day of climbing the courses and taking in the range, grab a handcrafted supper at Cliffhanger Restaurant; located in the heart of the resort, it’s home to picturesque views and Canadian cuisine. Thanks to Porsche Destination Chargers, fuel-ups are close by; while you’re making the most of the mountain, you can charge up your Taycan onsite.

Jagged and sun-bleached, tall mountain peaks cast stark shadows against the folds of Spirit Ridge, a luxury getaway nestled off Rancher Creek Road, deep inside Canada’s only desert. The resort echoes with adventure, offering a quiet refuge from the hard sun inside the Solterra Desert Spa. Spirit Ridge is also home to Nk’Mip Cellars, the first Indigenous owned winery in Canada; if you’re looking to sample, they offer tastings by appointment. Outside, check out the Sonora Dunes Golf Course and see the sweeping views of Anarchist Mountain and Osoyoos Lake amidst the sloping desert scene.

This past July, we had the honour of venturing out to Ontario’s Glen Oro Farm behind the wheel of a Porsche Taycan. Highlights of the trip included the farm’s Stargazer Domes; the immersive stays offer dreamy sky views alongside eco-friendly luxuries like wood stoves and solar fans. The chargers, located on the edge of the forest, allow Porsche guests to roll up to the accommodations without wasting any time. The farms offer on-site vegetable gardens and hiking nearby.

Cobble Beach Golf Resort

This snowy lakefront scene is home to the Georgian Bay’s Nantucket-style hotel and golf course, Cobble Beach Golf Resort. Cottage country cruisers will find a charging station by the quaint hotel structure. Inside the club, there’s a slew of amenities including a spa to decompress. Come winter, Cobble Beach offers an indoor golf simulator for swings that are safe from the weather. Just over two hours’ drive north of Toronto, the golf course is a relaxation oasis.

Modern and cozy, the Hôtel & Spa Le Germain Charlevoix is situated in the charming Quebec countryside. Inside the rooms, rustic, dark wood beams frame white Egyptian cotton sheets while windows offer a peak into the lush rural setting. Outside, the Spa Nordique Le Germain is the pinnacle of rejuvenation, with a sweet Finnish sauna, eucalyptus steam bath and even a snow fountain — but if you’d rather curl up with your room’s goose down duvet, we wouldn’t judge you.

Hôtel Quintessence Tremblant

For the final stay on our list, take brief journey north of Montreal to the Hôtel Quintessence and spread out in one of 30 ultra-luxurious suites. Established two decades ago, the hotel is just steps from the inviting sands of Quebec’s Lake Tremblant. If you’d like to see the nature from another perspective, the hotel concierge can organize a slew of outdoor activities — including local helicopter trips and shuttles to the mountain. Back at the hotel’s Spa Sans Sabots, guests can dip into the heated infinity pool or jacuzzi and wash off the day’s adventure. After checkout, hop into your Taycan — fully charged onsite.
