8 Best Dressed Men of the 2024 Grammy Awards

Last Sunday, the 66th annual Grammys didn’t disappoint; from Jay-Z’s bold acceptance speech to Taylor Swift’s new album announcement (does she ever take a vacation?), it was a night to remember — the star-studded setlist even included a first-ever Grammy performance by Joni Mitchell. Glamorous moments weren’t reserved for theatrics, though: musicians graced the red carpet with myriad custom-tailored jackets, flashy fabrics, and experimental ensembles that left an impression. Now that the dust has settled, we’ve selected our favourite fits of the night to provide fashion inspiration for awards season and beyond.

Nigerian artist Asake snagged a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance with his song “Amapiano,” and showed up to the awards show in style. Sporting the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Essential Grey, 42mm, the singer complemented his textured suit with a shiny silver bracelet and neck charm.

Five-time Grammy winner Jon Batiste hit the carpet dressed in a captivating silver-chrome ensemble from BOSS, complete with a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon High Jewellery watch — plus a silver chain, bracelet, and a couple rings for good measure. The silhouette, with its high collar and kilt, put a futuristic twist on classic dress. Batiste’s black heeled dress shoes gave the look an elevated polish.

Maluma

Singer and BOSS collaborator Maluma came ready to impress — nominated for best Latin album, the Colombian star wore a chic black-and-white ensemble. His pointed white shoes echoed the classic button down and jacket combination, accented by a flashy gold chain. The crown jewel — no pun intended — was a pair of diamond encrusted headphones by Bose. Unfortunately, they were custom-made for Maluma, so you won’t be finding these diamond earpieces in stores. The diamond-free model, though, will be available later this year.

Mark Ronson

Record producer Mark Ronson stood out from the crowd in a sleek double breasted Gucci suit. Forgoing an undershirt, he matched the charcoal tone with polished black loafers. Side note: who knew Mark Ronson and Meryl Streep were in-laws? You learn something new every season.

John Legend

Cover alum John Legend is a controversial entry on the list — his all black Yves Saint Laurent look was polarizing, but we felt his bold low cut shirt, with its slick fabric and drooping bow, was worth a nod. Wide lapels on the jacket and shiny black shoes sealed the deal.

Scott Evans

At the Grammys, Scott Evans proved that style can be incredibly simple. His suit oozed old-school glamour with soft-textured fabric, while the gold chains and unbuttoned shirt kept things interesting. Finished off with white boots and brown sunglasses big enough to give Miranda Priestly a run for her money, the outfit was a solid ‘yes.’

Matt B

A voter at the recording academy, Matt B wore a custom Barocco suit to the Grammys. Sparkling gold jewellery complemented the jacket’s glittering checks and royal blue lapels. Designed by LA-based jeweller Marianna Harutanian, the drooping gold ropes elevated the outfit to an easy best-dressed entry.

Now that he’s brought radio shows to TikTok, SirusXM HOST Davis Burleson is reviving vintage fashion. Wearing shimmery disco pants and a semi-sheer undershirt with an oversized jacket, Burleson looked retro in the best way possible.
