These Nomos Glashütte Watches Will Make You the Envy of Your Coworkers

There are watches designed specifically for yachting, race car driving, piloting, travelling, and even for golfing. But German watchmaker Nomos Glashütte’s new At Work series is the first collection we know of developed with the desk set in mind.

Revered for its minimalist aesthetic, Nomos is already a favourite of the creative class — the subject of a personal essay by Gary Shteyngart in the New Yorker and were even name-checked on an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine last year.

Based on existing Tangente, Metro, Orion and Tetra models, the At Work collection’s combination of case materials and dial styles means you’ll stand out from your colleagues sartorially. One thing that each model in the At Work series has in common is the in-house, automatic DUW 3001 calibre.

But what’s really beautiful about the At Work collection is how it plays with proportion. The new series is made up of 14 variations, each with a thin 39-millimetre case that sits smartly under the cuff of a suit jacket. The slimmed-down size also looks more elegant on smaller wrists (which is nice when your dress code includes T-shirts).
