Here’s Your First Look at the Maserati Levante SUV

Ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March, Maserati just released an early glimpse at the Levante, the storied Italian automaker’s very first SUV. And, expectedly, it looks pretty damn awesome.

Thanks to its aggressive lines and voluptuous curves, there’s absolutely no mistaking its heritage. Performance-wise, the Levante features an electronic suspension with controlled damping and air springs, along with Maserati’s “Q4” intelligent all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. There’s no official word yet, but it’s expected to be available with the option of either a V6 diesel or V8 gasoline engine.

Built at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, Italy, the Levante will hit European markets this spring before rolling out to the rest of the world later in the year.
