Surprise, surprise: the San Antonio Spurs are in the midst of yet another killer season. For what seems like at least a century, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker and their cantankerous coach Gregg Popovich — reigning king of the halftime interview — have been the NBA’s most unfathomably consistent team, churning out 60-win seasons and championships with effortless ease. They’re 52-9 right now. Do these guys even age?
As it turns out, yes, they do. During last night’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans, Duncan and Parker had a classic senior moment, colliding with one another, fumbling to the ground and losing the ball out of bounds. It was hilarious. So hilarious, in fact, that it caused noted unflappable crank Coach Pop to actually chuckle.
The NBA, ladies and gentlemen. Where amazing happens.
