Fortunately, the brilliant minds behind The Hill-Side have heard your canvas-based complaints and devised a sensible solution. Behold: the All-Weather High Tops.
Handmade in Japan at one of the world’s oldest sneaker factories, they’ve got those timeless good looks you crave, but have been specially formulated to keep your feet cozy and dry. The canvas uppers are made from weatherproof cotton and are lined with terrycloth for added comfort. The tongue, meanwhile, was designed with a custom gusset to keep out water.
Down below, a beefed-up vulcanized rubber toe cap and heavy-duty, high-traction outsole give these bad boys the rugged stability of your favourite pair of boots.
The only problem you’ll run into with these sneakers? Trying to decide which of the four crazy tight, supremely wearable colours to cop. (We’re partial to “Martian Soil,” if any of our loved ones are out there wondering.)
