This Is the Craziest Watch Video We’ve Ever Seen

YouTube is a digital labyrinth replete with videos of watch experts and enthusiasts alike popping open their favourite timepieces to show us what makes them tick and tock. But nothing has captured our attention quite like this one: a look inside the highly complicated A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon, currently on sale for €298,000 (CAD$444,400).

In 2016, German manufacturer Lange made huge waves at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) trade show in Geneva when it debuted the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon in 2016 with a platinum case and a black dial. Last January, the watch received a minor style upgrade with a salmon dial.

Today, the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon is considered one of Lange’s most complicated models thanks to its integrated caliber where the tourbillon, the flyback chronograph and the perpetual calendar all fit perfectly together – no easy feat. Watch here to see what makes this the craziest watch video we’ve ever seen.
