Loro Piana’s Bloor Street spot measures two floors, lit with cheerful candlelight for the reception. The ground floor is populated with a selection of womenswear — leather goods, shoes, and ready-to-wear garments — shown alongside Loro Piana’s interior collection. With a sleek offering of home decor and tableware, the boutique intends to offer a ‘home away from home’ feeling. On the next level, clients will find menswear by Loro Piana, as well as an exclusive VIP area for custom consultations and private appointments.
Loro Piana’s curated guest list featured invitees from a slew of sectors, including arts, commerce, media, and fashion. A number of displays and installations catered to the diverse crowd, highlighting the brand’s position as a leader in fashion design and textiles.
Aesthetically, the layout lives up to its label. Like its cashmere scarves and shearling gilets, Loro Piana’s boutique refines the essence of raw material. Thanks to a minimalist design, the store’s earthy palette takes centre stage; silk carpets and wall coverings shimmer under soft lighting. Regal gold trim shines on cream-coloured walls while Carabottino wood sparkles in the sunlight, complemented by signature oak. An organic synergy emerges between the rustic materials and refined designs — there’s an air of easy, natural sophistication in every corner.
Across town, the Yorkdale boutique offers a spacious single-floor experience. With a clean, contemporary design, the store is optimized for discerning clients. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with an array of accessories, elegantly arranged by the entrance. Displays line the space, showcasing Loro Piana’s top-quality bags and an extensive selection of shoes. Just beyond the accessories, guests can discover ready-to-wear collections for women and men.
Both locations sport a charming exterior, composed of glazed ceramic tiles from Tuscany. Rendered in a spectrum of Kummel shades, the tiles are a mindful reference to the Maison’s iconography.
