The Grecale is Maserati’s Renaissance Masterpiece
Maserati x SHARP
Just as the Italian Renaissance forever transformed our understanding of art, science and human potential, Maserati’s all-new Grecale pushes the boundaries of performance, innovation and craftsmanship in the SUV space. This is Maserati’s Renaissance masterpiece.
The Grecale arrives at a pivotal moment in automotive history, at a time when the old rulebook has been thrown out. Maserati’s team of engineers and designers took on the moment with the same passion, mastery, confidence and audacity that made the firm what it is. Standing in stark contrast to luxury SUVs from the usual German brands, the Grecale offers an utterly unique blend of performance, authentic Italian design, and everyday comfort that makes everything else feel, well, bland.

The Grecale also arrives at pivotal moment in Maserati’s storied history. Fresh off the success of the stunning MC20 Cielo supercar and knee-shakingly beautiful new GranTurismo coupe and its drop-top counterpart, Maserati is poised for a breakthrough, and the Grecale is the vehicle to do it. Maserati’s goal? To move those who move the world. With summer cottage getaways on the calendar and road trip season upon us, it’s the perfect time to consider how the Grecale can move you.
The Artisan’s Touch
Step inside the Grecale and you’ll immediately see what separates Maserati’s vision of Italian luxury from its rivals. It’s beautifully crafted (as you’d expect) but not ostentatious; there are no design flourishes just for the sake of it. Every detail is beautiful, yes, and it serves a purpose.

Take, for example, the clever digital smartwatch interface in place of the usual dashboard clock. Not only is it a chronometer, g-force gauge and compass, it’s also an interface for the car’s voice-controlled Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA). In the Grecale, even the air vents have gone from mundane to magnificent, sculpted from a blade of aluminum they draw attention without demanding it.
From the hand-stitched leather seats to the cold aluminum paddle shifters, it’s a showcase for Maserati’s pursuit of bella figura.
Innovation’s Edge
The Italian Renaissance didn’t revive classical ideas; it transformed and upended them through groundbreaking techniques. Similarly, the Grecale doesn’t just incorporate cutting-edge technology; it reimagines how that technology should serve the driver.

The Grecale Folgore — Maserati’s first all-electric SUV — announces the brand’s electric future with 542 horsepower. Apart from a few subtle visual cues and lack of tailpipes, bystanders might never even notice it’s electric. It’s not about proving anything to anybody else. The fast-charging 400-volt electric powertrain and long-range 105 kWh battery ensure this environmentally conscious option sacrifices nothing in performance.
For those who prefer combustion, the high-performance Grecale Trofeo puts the supercar-derived 523-horsepower Nettuno V6 engine from the MC20 into a family-friendly SUV. Only Maserati would be so audacious; this supercar-derived engine’s glorious spine-tingling sound puts others in the luxury SUV class to shame. This is the most extreme expression of the Grecale, with 3D carbon-fibre trim, a wider rear track for increased grip, an exclusive Corsa driving mode and adaptive air suspension.

The Trofeo is the most extreme expression of the Grecale, but every model — from the new mild-hybrid “Grecale” trim, to the athletic “Modena” version — deliver Maserati’s unique blend of confidence, poise, and thrilling performance.
Everyday Exceptional
True Renaissance masterpieces weren’t merely beautiful, they were functional. Leonardo’s da Vinci’s designs worked. Brunelleschi’s dome stood. Similarly, the Grecale is much more than an eye pleasing example of Made-in-Italy design.
Thanks to its unusually long wheelbase, the Grecale delivers best-in-class rear legroom. It’s more accommodating that luxury SUV rivals, allowing your passengers to enjoy the same Italian hospitality as you do behind the wheel. Whether you’re heading out for dinner with friends, or taking everyone out of town for an impromptu getaway, the Grecale has ample space for whoever (and whatever) you’re hauling. The generous trunk is more than big enough to handle the goods from any retail-therapy session.

The elegantly minimal dashboard combines a driver-focused 12.3-inch main screen with an 8.8-inch climate and comfort display, putting everything you need at your fingertips without the visual clutter. A crisp head-up display keeps essential information in your line of sight, which is important when you’re piloting a 500+ horsepower machine.
Even the stereo is superb. Designed by the “Italian Artisans of Sound” at Sonus faber, the optional award-winning system features laser-cut grilles and up to 21 speakers and 1,200 watts of power. The result is a sound so round, airy and distinctive it has a name: the Voice of Sonus faber (VoS) tone.
Like the Renaissance masters who created works that echo through the generations, the Grecale too will stand the test of time. Welcome to Maserati’s renaissance.
