Here’s what we’re reading today.
1. Anthony Scaramucci calls Reince Priebus a “paranoid schizophrenic”
“They’ll all be fired by me,” he said. “I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you.”
2. There’s going to be a Donald Trump animated series, thanks to Stephen Colbert
“I know a lot of people wanted to do this, and I’m honored that the Cartoon President invited our documentary crew into his private world,” said Colbert, according to the Hollywood trade. “I’ve seen some of the footage, and I look forward to sharing the man behind the MAGA.”
3. Waterloo police will investigate Toronto police’s involvement in the Dafonte Miller case
“This case is complicated and there have been serious allegations made which everyone is taking extremely seriously, especially members of the Toronto Police Services Board,” Pringle said at the start of the public meeting at police headquarters.
“The chief has advised the board that due to the fact that there are two very different versions of this case in the public domain, it is important to take this opportunity to have another agency that is independent and separate to conduct the section 11 investigation.”
4. Cow sculpture “scares the children,” say Markham residents
“For Dasilva, the cow’s bold postmodernism clashes with the area’s traditional suburban aesthetic.
“It’s just very odd,” he said. “We have a very austere look to the neighbourhood. A lack of embellishment is kind of the undertone of our design here.””
