Panerai has evolved substantially since its early days supplying waterproof timepieces to the Italian Navy operations, yet the essence of its original design codes remain present in its most current collections. To ensure the highest level of quality, in early 2014 Officine Panerai opened its new Manufacture in Neuchâtel, at the heart of the region with one of the oldest watchmaking traditions in the world, a significantly larger building with greater resources than the previous Manufacture opened in 2002. This new setting brings together all the main operations and technical skills needed to develop and build its watches, embracing traditional watchmaking that is merged with modern manufacturing innovations.
