Perhaps it was a special gift, thoughtfully plucked from the shelf. Wherever the transaction took you, we’re willing to bet that a recognizable, rectangular silhouette was there too: the shopping bag.
As we ditch single-use plastics, the reusable shopping bag has become a quotidian staple. It’s fitting, then, that Louis Vuitton has transformed the everyday object into an art piece. In fact, the Shopper Tote could be thought of as today’s answer to Andy Warhol’s mid-century masterpiece, Campbell’s Soup Cans. It’s a well-designed reflection of contemporary commerce.
Fashioned from cowhide leather, the audacious accessory comes equipped with inside pockets, a carabiner closure, and a removable strap. Sculpting an iconic silhouette into a chic carryall bag, the Shopper Tote takes the shape of “new.”
