SV Bespoke Service Takes Range Rovers To The Next Level
The new SV Bespoke commissioning service pushes Range Rover into even more rarified, luxurious territory by offering customers the opportunity to build the SUV of their dreams alongside the company’s design team.
The SV Bespoke service is only available to Range Rover Autobiography and SV clients, which means the price of entry is over $200,000. And that’s just the beginning.

On top of the many, many options already available in the Range Rover catalog, SV Bespoke service offers up to 391 interior material colourways and 230 paint colours, as well as a ‘match to sample’ service. That could be an overwhelming amount of choice, but thankfully Range Rover’s design team is there to help; they’ve created a curated set of design combinations should you wish to leave the customization to the professionals.
Otherwise, clients can curate their own builds at the SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite in England, or at selected global retailers, or even from the comfort of their sofa thanks to an exclusive online virtual service. It’s a seven-step process, in which clients select “colours, themes, SV exclusive options, materials, veneers and finishers, customisations and personalisation.”

Have you always wished the Range Rover script on the hood and tailgate were in 24 carat gold? SV Bespoke can make that happen.
The result is that no two SV Bespoke vehicles will be the same.
“Range Rover is synonymous with exclusivity and luxury. Now, with the new SV Bespoke commissioning service, we invite our most discerning clients to become the creator of their truly unique vehicle – choosing the finishes they desire and being guided by our Design team,” says Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover’s managing director. “By blending enhanced personalisation with peerless refinement and unmatched capability, Range Rover continues to deliver the ultimate in modern luxury.”

While this kind of customization is expected on Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Porsches — Exclusive Manufaktur, anyone? — it’s new territory for Range Rover. Clearly the company has those other British luxury brands in its crosshairs. (A Long Wheelbase SV is already pushing $300,000 before the addition of any SV Bespoke customization. At that price, Range Rover is well into Bentley territory.)
The company has also been busy upgrading and expanding the number of full-size Range Rover models available for 2024.
Fans of sheer power will be pleased to know there’s a new 605 horsepower model, powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. Confusingly, it’s called the P615. (If you must know it’s because 615 is number of horsepower as measured in German “PS” or pferdestärke.) Frankly, we never thought the P530 model needed more grunt, but we’ll take it.

Perhaps of more interest for anyone who uses their Range Rover as a daily driver is the updated plug-in hybrid model, dubbed P550e. It has a new 160 kW electric motor, which works with a six-cylinder engine to make a total of 542 horsepower. It’s a useful improvement from the 434 ponies offered in the Range Rover P440e.
We’re hoping for more EV-mode driving range — ideal for drivers who don’t want to burn any fuel day-to-day — but the company has yet to announce range figures. The additional electric horsepower does, however, help with acceleration; the 0-100 km/h sprint is half a second quicker, down to 5.0 seconds flat in the P550e.

An all-electric Range Rover is still in the works, but the company is keeping details of that close to its chest.
Alongside the new SV Bespoke service and upgraded engine choices, 2024 Range Rovers will come with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. The thin 13.1-inch curved display floats over the dashboard. The company claims approximately 80 per cent of tasks can be performed with two taps from the home screen, and new sidebars give quicker access to volume and climate controls.

The 2023 Range Rover wasn’t broken. Far from it; the full-size Range Rover was SHARP’s favourite luxury SUV of the year. Nevertheless, Range Rover has gone and “fixed” it for 2024, with some useful upgrades and additions.
