Glenlivet

Glenlivet Distillery is located in the Speyside region of Scotland and was established in 1824 by George Smith. It is one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland, having been granted one of the first licenses to produce whisky after the introduction of the Excise Act. Glenlivet’s name is derived from the glen or valley in which it is situated. The distillery is renowned for its use of traditional methods, including copper pot stills and American oak casks, and has a rich history of innovation and influence in the whisky industry. Glenlivet is also known for its role in defining the Speyside style of whisky.
